Celebrating Indian Independence

The Youth members Ayra, Jai, Kanishka, Nainitha, Pranav, Rakshan, Rakshita, Rishi, Varsha, and Vrishank shared facts about India with the audience and led the National Anthem.

In a short span of 74 years after independence, India became the second-fastest-growing economy in the world. A few of India’s many accomplishments are: one of the largest railway networks, the world’s largest milk production, and indigenously built space programs. Some advances in space research and technology include: launching a record-breaking 104 satellites on a single rocket in 2017, launching Chandrayaan, a space probe, in October 2008 that discovered water molecules in the lunar soil. India was also the first Asian nation to reach Mars’ orbit and was the first nation in the world to do so on its first attempt.
