We started a local School Supply Drive to support about 290 families in Frederick, Maryland, who may struggle with finishing their back-to-school lists. Through the utilization of social media and various outreach resources, we established a system where people throughout the Urbana and Monrovia community could go to their closest drop-off location/bin or we could go to their houses to pick up supplies. We ran this campaign for 3 weeks and were able to collect a surplus of items for the local school system to distribute. Along with Manas and Amaar, a few other students ( Hannah, Dhruv, Praneeth, Shreya, and Rishi) collected the supplies; Manas and Amaar donated the collected supplies to Jo Ostby, who was the coordinator for the Urbana, Oakdale, and Linganore feeders to distribute to needed families.
